Students build a gadget to track sunlight throughout the day. They record how bright it gets at different times and spots, learning firsthand how the sun moves and changes brightness. They place sensors near windows or outdoors, gather data, and analyze the results.
Students will build and position their sensors, observe data changes, and discuss how their findings relate to energy savings in their home or classroom.
By understanding sunlight patterns, students become aware of how natural light can save energy. It helps them think practically about positioning furniture, windows, or shades to use less electricity and support sustainability.
