CodyNick Beginner: Discover (1)

Session 1 – Lightbox Project
Location: British Columbia, Canada
Theme: Exploring Light & Color Through Coding

What Students Did :

Built the structure of the lightbox using basic materials.
Designed the lighting setup using CodyNick’s RGB LED gadgets.
Programmed their lights through block-based coding to produce both white and colored light.
Learned how red, green, and blue light combine to form other colors, especially white.

What They Learned :

cience Concepts: Color theory, light composition, RGB color mixing.
Tech Skills: Hardware setup, LED wiring, and code-controlled lighting.
Creative Thinking: Designing a usable photography box with real-world function.
The students also made a small opening at the front of the box — just like in a professional lightbox — where a camera could be placed for product photography.
This session introduced key STEM skills through a real-world project, blending creativity, science, and beginner-level coding.
